IF… at Expo 2010 Shanghai, 19-25 July 2010
Design Portugal | Design towards a better world,

The CPD Centro Português de Design (Portuguese Design Centre), at the invitation of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Development/IAPMEI, will present an exhibition of Portuguese Design, from June 19 to July 25 at the Business Center in the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2010.

DME Award 2010 now open for entries!

The only award dedicated to the management of design, the DME Award, is now open for its fourth edition. Previous winners of the DME Award including Virgin Atlantic, NHS, Festo, Decathlon, Senz Umbrellas, Roca and EDF all represent highly innovative organisations where design plays an integral part of their operation. This year the award will be located in Lisbon and represents a new era of the DME Award.

IF... Best Idea selection in Kortrijk, Belgium

Last week the nomination of ideas for IF... Kortrijk took place in Belgium. In total there were 140 submissions, of which about 40 were nominated. From these, 29 projects were chosen to be developed further. Industrial Design students from Howest University were connected to each of the final 29 ideas. These students will realize the ideas from now until IF…Kortrijk and the results will then be presented during the Innovation Festival events. On the last day (October 25th, 2010) there will be a nomination for the three best ideas. These will continue to the finale of the ‘IF… Best European Idea’ during the Innovation Festival in Tallinn (Estonia) in 2011.

What IF… Your idea changes the world?
IF… Kortrijk: selection of ‘best ideas’

IF… Kortrijk will present a selection of 40 ‘best ideas’ during the Week van Ontwerpen (Design Week), that will be held from 23 -27 June 2010. Theseideas were selected by a professional jury and will be elaborated to bepresented at IF… Kortrijk in October 2010.
